Fence Permit

Before installing a fence, a permit must be applied for. Fence permits usually require at least a day or two for approval.
Here's what you will need:

  • An accurately scaled site plan or certificate of survey showing the location of your proposed fence - We also need to know the height, length, and materials of the proposed fence.
  • Neighbor's Letter of Approval - If you're placing the fence directly on your property line, a letter of approval from your neighbor(s) is required.
  • Permit fee - The fee is determined using the Valuation of Work. Once approved we will notify you of the cost.

Homeowners can do their own work. Contractor's performing the work must be either State or City licensed.
