Little Canada's community festival Canadian Days was first started as a bicentennial celebration in 1976. Residents enjoyed it so much that the celebration planners decided to make it an annual event.

Since 1977, Little Canada and Thunder Bay, Ontario have come together for a weekend of food and fun, celebrating their international friendship. The first Little Canada festival started as a U.S. Bicentennial celebration in 1976.
