The City received a Rezoning and Lot Combination application from Reuter Walton to construct 160-unit multi-family apartments. The rezoning is requested to change the parcels from C-1, General Commercial District to C-2, Corridor Mixed District. This is in alignment with the City's 2040 Comprehensive Plan for the Future Land Use Map.
The City's Development Review Committee met to discuss this development and provided comments to the developer. Ramsey County has requested a Traffic Study and that has been completed.
Reuter Walton held a Neighborhood Meeting on June 7th, 2023 and on November 28th, 2023 at City Hall to take comment from the residents and business owners.
Planning Commission Meeting:
On December 14th, 2023, the Planning Commission held a meeting to discuss the application. The Planning Commission recommended approval for the Rezoning and Lot Combination to the City Council.
City Council Meeting:
On December 20th, 2023, the City Council held a public hearing to discuss the application. The City Council voted 5-0 to approve the application for the Rezoning and Lot Combination.
The development will break ground in 2024.
