This is a reminder that campaign signs are not allowed on public property and must be placed on private property with the permission of the owner. No such signs may be placed within 10 feet of the edge of the public road pavement or curb, on utility poles or attached to the public traffic signs. Sidewalks and trails are all on public-right-of ways. All signs much be placed beyond that point, away from the roadway, and not between a sidewalk or trail and the road.
MN Statue 211B.045 states signs may be posted in any number beginning 46 days before the state primary in a state general election year until 10 days following the state general election.
